Derri\u00e8re ces quelques millim\u00e8tres de diff\u00e9rence entre le talon et l\u2019avant-pied se cachent des impacts bien r\u00e9els sur votre foul\u00e9e, vos appuis, votre fatigue musculaire. Drop \u00e9lev\u00e9, faible, z\u00e9ro drop\u2026 chaque coureur a ses pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences, mais surtout ses besoins. Alors, quel drop privil\u00e9gier selon votre profil de coureur, votre foul\u00e9e et votre pratique du trail ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qu&rsquo;est ce que le drop d&rsquo;une chaussure de trail ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le drop, c\u2019est tout simplement la diff\u00e9rence de hauteur entre l\u2019arri\u00e8re et l\u2019avant de votre pied dans la chaussure. Autrement dit, si votre talon est positionn\u00e9 6 mm plus haut que vos orteils, vous avez un drop de 6 mm. Ce petit chiffre change pourtant beaucoup de choses dans votre foul\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un drop \u00e9lev\u00e9 (souvent entre 8 et 12 mm) accompagne naturellement une attaque talon, comme sur une foul\u00e9e classique de coureur sur route. Elle d\u00e9coule d\u2019un ensemble de facteurs comme la morphologie, l\u2019exp\u00e9rience, la tonicit\u00e9 musculaire et la technique. L\u2019un des \u00e9l\u00e9ments-cl\u00e9s qui la d\u00e9finit, c\u2019est le point d\u2019impact du pied au sol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Attaque talon<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsque le talon qui frappe en premier, on parle d\u2019attaque talon. C\u2019est une foul\u00e9e assez courante, surtout chez les d\u00e9butants ou ceux qui viennent de la route. Pour accompagner ce type de pose de pied et cette foul\u00e9e plus \u00ab\u00a0terrienne\u00a0\u00bb, on privil\u00e9gie souvent des chaussures avec un drop \u00e9lev\u00e9, autour de 8 \u00e0 12 mm. Attaque m\u00e9dio-pied<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u2019autres coureurs posent le milieu du pied en premier : c\u2019est ce qu\u2019on appelle l\u2019attaque m\u00e9dio-pied. C\u2019est une foul\u00e9e plus dynamique, souvent observ\u00e9e chez les traileurs r\u00e9guliers ou les coureurs naturels. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, elle est accompagn\u00e9e par un drop moyen, entre 4 et 6 mm. Cela permet un bon \u00e9quilibre entre r\u00e9activit\u00e9, confort musculaire et stabilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Attaque avant-pied<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Enfin, certains posent d\u2019abord l\u2019avant du pied, en attaque avant-pied. C\u2019est un style de course plus engag\u00e9, tr\u00e8s actif, qui sollicite fortement les mollets et le tendon d\u2019Achille. Il est souvent associ\u00e9 \u00e0 un drop faible, entre 0 et 4 mm. Mais il peut accompagner ou faciliter une certaine biom\u00e9canique. Un passage d\u2019un drop \u00e9lev\u00e9 \u00e0 un drop minimaliste ne se fait pas du jour au lendemain. Il demande un temps d\u2019adaptation du pied, des muscles et des tendons. Il est surtout li\u00e9 \u00e0 votre morphologie et \u00e0 votre mani\u00e8re naturelle de courir. Un coureur au gabarit solide, avec une foul\u00e9e longue et une attaque talon marqu\u00e9e, b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiera souvent d\u2019un drop \u00e9lev\u00e9, qui amortit davantage et soulage la cha\u00eene post\u00e9rieure, mollets, tendon d\u2019Achille, bas du dos. \u00c0 l\u2019inverse, un traileur plus l\u00e9ger, avec une posture dynamique et une foul\u00e9e plus centr\u00e9e, se tournera volontiers vers un drop faible, qui favorise une attaque m\u00e9dio- ou avant-pied, sollicitant davantage les muscles profonds et la proprioception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mais le <strong>drop ne fait pas tout<\/strong> :<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Il faut aussi consid\u00e9rer le stack, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire l\u2019\u00e9paisseur totale de la semelle.
